OK, sorry if its already been posted but I have looked and have gotten answers then gone somewhere else and gotten different answers. My freaking neck hurts I have been sitting here so long. I have a 2001 base lude, had a problem with my H22a4 and now have a H22A that was converted to OBD2. I have just about every bolt-on and am ready to make the leap to a tune. I have several questions...first What ecu is in my car already? I bought a New Hondata S300 from a friend with a newly totaled car. IDK but I read somewhere that you HAVE to convert to OBD1 if your gonna tune? If you DO NOT then what would be the best ecu to install my S300 in? If you DO have to make the conversion to OBD1, What is Exactly is required? <---that was the part that [freak]ed me up when doing research. I need like a list of stuff or something. Or maybe I just need someone to Shoot me in the HEAD!!
thanks to the person who helps...

Should have just kept the H22A OBD1 and converted the car to OBD1... Anyway, answer is YES. Hondata S300 will only work with an OBD1 ECU. The best ECU would be a P72, it is harder to find and priced a good bit more. That being said, if you are tuning on a budget a P28 is the cheapest and easiest to find. It can be modified to run the IABs by means of an auxiliary output. There are a few companies that sell OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harnesses that are strictly plug and play.
These are Conversion harnesses : http://www.evasivemotorsports....FHbxw
First ones I found with a quick google.
