Yep Usually do to needing a tire rotation and maybe check the tire pressure as well.
i dont think its from the tires.... i think its some thing from the steering wheel......cuz wheen the car is off i shake the steering wheel left and right a lil and i can here the rattling sound.... something is loose from the steering wheel or something is not gripping the steering wheel good..??
its no big deal when i start my car my wheel bounces i was told it was due to my car needed it tires rotated no big
I've got a 93 dx that does the same thing, minus the rattling noise. Got the tires rotated on it, gonna see if that makes a difference over time... Granted, my wheels got slightly warped somehow or another, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. The tires hadn't be rotated/balanced in awhiiiiiile (went faaaar too long without doing it) so it probably wont be right until I get some new wheels and tires.
well ima see if i get new tires this weekend...but hopefully that takes care of the shaking/rattling noise .......Is there anything in the steering wheel that can wear out causing it to be a lil shakey??

i got mine fixed turnes out the real problem is you need new motor mounts bc the harder it runs it shakes which u kno will shake ur steering wheel im guess ur shift **** shakes as well just like mine
no my shift **** dont shake...... i got my alignment done and it got better....i think the bearing on my steering wheel is loose or something is loose in there....but it got way better with my alignhment....
If you want to get serious with it, you can remove the wheel and re tighten the bolt
I believe its a 19mm? I don't think that will help really though
a full alignment and proper air pressure will do wonders

check:
tire balance
alignment (have the tie rod ends checked)
make sure the column is tight under the dash
make sure the steering shaft is tight into the rack

yeah man. its the wheel balance. mine did exactly the same thing. shook at 60mph. would, shake, then stop for a sec or two, and keep shaking. it felt like my car was just gonna fall apart. i got some tires and balanced the wheels and problem solved. now i can go 60 plus and no shaking whatsover. cllleeeeaannn smoooothh ride.
get the tires balenced and rotated and it ahould fix that mine did it getting into 70-80
got the same problem but...comes and goess..only did breaks.....what you think....rippd axle boots thats bout it.....only did this when i changed breaks...rotors were slighty new great condition

Most commonly:
Steering wheel shakes when driving = Rim/Tire balance issue
Steering wheel shakes when braking = Warped rotors
Abnormal tire wear or odd steering characteristics = Alignment issue
*The shop that did your alignment should have known to balance the tires instead of doing an alignment for your problem. Did you just request an alignment, or did you tell them what problem you need fixed?
