This car got stolen today.
Police tracked it via IPass going from west suburbs and taking an exit on Meijers (i think).

1997 Hatchback DX
Granada black w/CF hood
Gold SpeedStar RS-8 rims

I sold this car just a month ago, and it got stolen from the new owner
I feel bad for him because I doubt that insurance will cover the mods, assuming he had full coverage.

The car had Clifford Pager alarm w/proximity sensor
ignition disable
ignition cutoff key
key-less door handles
and backup battery
I have no idea if he actually used them or not, but it sucks non the less.

Damn man, F thieves! I will be in the Lombard area on Saturday, I will definatly keep a look out for it. Where was it stolen from? (I worry about mine every day)

Honestly, Im not really sure where it was stolen from.
I sold the car about a month ago, but was recently contacted by police saying it got stolen.

They didn't say exactly where the car was going, but since it got off somewhere near Lombard, and I live in Lombard, they though that maybe I had something to do with it.

The sad thing is, from my experience, cops do nothing but sit on their ***. I hope they prove me wrong and find the car.

I know it shouldn't matter to me since I sold the car, but it still bugs me that some lowlife would steal something... especially something I built.

I just want to help the new owner find it in one piece.
A lot of the parts on the car aren't even that coveted, it's an N/A sohc, however the parts that are expensive, are rare as hell, and if anyone tries to sell them, or buys them, they'll be easy to notice... and I will keep my eye out ...and my gun fuc*ing loaded.

Please help us fine the car, or at lest punish those to took it.

Yeah, it doesn't seam like cops are doing anything, which makes it even more frustrating.

 

Cops dont care about stolen cars

This guy i knos parents are narcs. and they told him straight up. cops dont care about stolen cars...even if it has lojack..if they come across it easy they will get it..but it they have to waste any time..they wont bother.


thats why we need to take matters into are own hands now.

also does chicago have an autotheft task force or anything? like that show jacked?

if not. i think we should see what it would take for the city to start one up.

this **** is not gna stop until people stop buying stolen ****...there is a shitload of people complaning and talking **** about rats, but have stolen parts on their cars. at least i can say im doing my part....we all know alot of rats, but do **** about it...

no news... I might call up the police station tomorrow and see what they say, but I'm not expecting much.

 

geeez its when i read these stories that i start to worry about my baby... i live in the boonies but still 630 is where i reside makes me

tell you what though if i ever caught someone breaking into my car @ my house i will let the dogs out. for sure scare someone off real quick.
