I was at safeway, started up the car, like 3 seconds later it just dies. The power is good, music works, windows work, lights work as well i think. Don't remember. Also the check engine light came on

I try to start it up 5-10 times. In the end I had to start up the car, leave it on park push the pedal up to around 2000-3000 rpm and just do that for a minute. I put it in reverse and drove home.

Gotta take it to the shop tomorrow, but I wanted to get some advice and hopefully don't get ripped. It's does this before all I had to do was wait a few minutes.

 

I think it's making a humming noise also pretty loud, when it's idling.

 

Humming noise... Maybe a leak.. When the car dies do the RPM's drop to 0?, does the car shake? Is the temperature gauge on C or does it rise to H?

 

Yea it the RPM drops to 0. No shaking or anything. Just doesn't move. Eletrical stuff still works. Not sure about the temperature gauge. I think it's just normal.
