Default 90k maintenance price

i got quoted for $900 for spark plugs, cap, rotor, wire set, fuel filter, pcv valve, timing belt, balancer, alternater, ac and all other belts. crankshield? or was it crankshaft? camseal, valve seals..valve cover gaskets, and some all the gasket kits from honda. is that a fair price?

what else should i get?

what parts are actually being replaced and what parts are merely being inspected? what vehicle do you have? If ALL of those parts are being replaced, it might be close to a fair deal.

Spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter, pcv valve, timing belt/balancer and related, alternator, ac and other belts, water pump, cranksheild?, cam seals, valve seals, all gaskets and fluids are being replaced.

it's a 2000 prelude base model.

If you don't plan on doing any of that work yourself, I say go for it. Prices around here are like this:

Timing Belt + Water Pump: Parts + Labor ~ $1200
Fuel Filter ~ $150
Plugs, Wires, Cap, Rotor ~ $200
Radiator flush ~ $100
Transmission flush ~ $100

Total ~ $1750

Of course, I recommend you check the place out first. See what other customers & shops say about them. See what brands of parts they intend to use. Etc.

When I take my car in to have work done because I don't want to deal with the frustration of it, I always test the mechanics by asking them some Honda-specific questions. If they can't answer them, I leave.

That's a pretty reasonable price if he's changing valve seals too.
