Default 95 GSR into 96 Civic - BAR question

i did a 95 GSR into 96 Civic, i converted everything to OBD2 and everything is working fine... does anyone have this kind of setup and went to get BARd... did you have any issues with the referee regarding the motor being older than the car even though all the emission parts are OBD2 compliant?

It'll never get BARd, the rule is the engine has to be same year or newer, so that's an instant fail.

yes that true but some ref. stations dont trip about it...96 jdm gsr in 98 ek..i just told him it was a 98 acura motor and I THINK he took my word for it.

i didnt pass but its not for that reason. my check engine light came on while he was doing the sniffer test for a Lean condion and my monitors wasnt all set...the ref. stations are picky about the monitors and they want ALL of them set, i only had 5 out of 7 set so i failed.

Interesting, I assumed that they would check the date stamp on the block.

I'm due for my inspection next friday, hoping it goes as smoothly as my install did.

i was watchin him do the visual inspection and i thought he looked at the head for the stamp of the yr but i think he was looking at the block for the wut engine code..he might have noticed it was a 96 but still let me pass cuzz its still a obd2 engine but im not 100% on that...at the end of the testing he gave me a list of what was wrong and needs to be fixed but he didnt mention anything about the year of the engine..

i was surprised when he walked up to me and said "thats a JDM motor u have right there b18c"....and he drives a 5.0 mustang..
