Default Black thing on the top of my fuel injectors?

I was swapping out my stock injectors for my RC 750cc injectors after passing inspection yesterday, gotta love NYS...

Anyway the black piece that slides into the top of the stock injectors is stuck in the fuel rail. Now I have done this a million times and I am pretty sure that they should stay in the injector, and not remain in the rail.

Is this correct or am I losing my mind?

I tried removing them with needle nose pliers and they WON'T come out! I did tighten the rail down a lot when I installed them for the inspection because one was leaking. I didn't go crazy, just one by one I tightened down the nuts on the rail 1/4 to 1/2 a turn then started the car up again to check.

Just wanted to make they are suppose to come out before I destroy them.

Thanks for any help!

Well if obviously didn't come out with pliers or else I wouldn't have wasted my time posting.

And its posts like this that make me stay away from forums. You have been a member here for less than a month. If you have nothing useful to say GTFO or go to b20vtec.com

Has anyone experience this issue:

The black filter from the fuel injector getting stuck in the fuel rail, and if so the best way to remove them with out damaging anything?

Thanks.
