Default anyone with a B&M fuel press. reg?

Is this thing a joke? It says its for 90+ integs plus civics and nsx's.

But the diameter of my existing integ regulator (hat thing) doesn't match up with the dia. of the mating B&M part. The retaining bracket doesn't fit either, so i can't line up the screw holes. The holes are partially blocked by the integ part anyway and the screws they supplied are too short (and they gyped me one).

Furthermore, the instructions said to measure down on the hat (the existing regulator) 1/4 inch and hacksaw it off there. Well, it turned out to be too much and i ruined my regulator. Good thing i have a spare, and measured UP 1/4" and cut this time.

I believe i can make it work tho, if i can find some longer "specialty" screws, round off the nut to make the screw holes line up, grind away the "hat brim" parts that block the screw holes and use liquid gasket to mate the seal.

What a joke, are all the honda regs the same size? My b20b and b18 ones were.

I've had 2, and never ran into a problem installing them. One on a b18a and one on a b16. Just followed the instructions and fitment was good.

Ya, I think they gave you the wrong one. As far as I know all Honda regulators are the same, at least the hat part anyway. I wouldn't trust one of those as far as I could throw it.

hmm, i wonder if they just packaged the wrong one because it named most honda's including my '90 integ on the label and the instructions.

But i mean the fit is just ridiculous

Maybe they did. It seems wierd that there was a missing bolt too, so it is a possibility.

crap, i guess i got beat by that one; i shoulda looked up fuel pressure reg in the manual to find out what it actually was. I thought that little hat thing at the end of the fuel rail where the inlet hose connects was the regulator. It has a little spring and diaphram in there and all...

what is that thing called anyway, the shop manual doesn't seem to name it and i need a new one. Civics don't seem to have them, just a straight bolt there...

Ah, that explains it. That is just a fuel damper or something to control fuel pulsing. I know my old CRX had one. I can't see it being too expensive although the dealership might make you buy the hole rail. I would try and get one at the Junkers.

Acura wants 50$ (cdn) for it, the junkyard is on holidays; the gods are jsut not smiling on me with this swap.

I'm in the process of sealing it back together (with the help of the screw in the end). I hope it can hold 30lbs fuel pressure hahaha.

Lol, ghetto .
$50 isn't that bad really. If you find out that one off a CRX Si will fit I have one for you. I will give it to you if you want to pick it up. Where is Smith Falls though? I'm in Barrie and my scrap CRX is in Huntsville.

SF is about halfway btw Ott. and Kingston, looks like huntsville is about 3hrs from here. I'll try some other yards first, a bunch within an hour, thanks

btw, i just installed the "right" way, and it fits like an ace. Looks good too; those boys at Canadian Tire will be really swooning now.
