Default Pulling engine from 5th gen- ahhh!!

How do you clear the AC hardline when pulling the motor out? It's in the middle of the friggin engine bay, esp on the passenger side.

Tilt the engine. It's pretty easy to do if you have a load leveler on the hoist.

a load leveler would be nice

we always have to put it back down, move the chain, up again, blah blah blah

vig, you keeping the a/c in tact or can you let the pressure out?

If so, taking that line off the evap coil near the firewall is easy enough. If not.....have fun

One person tilting the engine and lifting it, the other person leaning back on the pass. side while holding on to the AC line...

x2

A leveler is your best friend when no one else is around to help.

No load leveler, but there's two of us getting it out. We'll have to mess around with it I guess. There's surprising little room on either side, good thing I already had the crank pulley off.

And yes Matt, I want to keep AC.

I found the AC line to be remarkably durable

edit: And I did it with no load leveler, just with an engine hung a little sideways. I think I was partially standing on the transmission at one point, though...

Or go down with it? I find it way easier to drop the engine out the bottom on ludes.

Thanks guys. We ended up getting it out pretty easily last night. Just adjusted the links on the chain so that the trans side would naturally drop down as the hoist was raised.

That AC line looks even more ridiculous in the bay without the engine there. Just can't believe Honda couldn't place it more conspicuously.

Thanks.
