Bearings failing at 60k
I searched and found no related topics...Please direct me to any if this has been posted.
My 06 one day started to make a loud humming noise, a bit like a growl type sound. I stopped driving it for a few days not needing any trasnportation and when I was getting an alignment one day I mentioned it to the tech. He immediately mentioned what I did not want to hear, sound like your bearings in the wheel hub. He put the car up on the jack and spun the tire and it made the sound.
I'm asking does this seem right after 60k miles and on a single hub not multiple? I've had numerous cars around 150K+ miles and never had any issue such as this. I rotate my tires I have alignments performed when needed it just doesn't seem like this should happen. I did purchase an extended warranty which will cover this but i'm still a bit pissed that this is happening and my 3rd gear keeps getting rejected by my local dealership, so i'm having it looked at a dealership near my parents in Arkansas.
Any feedback would be helpful, on why this might have happened imo so soon.

do u drive in dirt alot or rain??
that can be the only reason i can think of a wheel bearing going out. i think shops usually charge around 60 bucks to replace a bearing. well at least thats how much it is around here. my 4 door i used to have had about 156k and never had a problem with the bearings
