I Found The First Ever DOHC VTEC Block to come the the U.S. b17A1 Vin:1000001!!!!!!!
I Stopped by a local Tuning Shop that was selling a bunch of engines and I saw a b17 with the vin 1000001 If you guys dont know the 1 in the begining means its for the U.S. and the last digits is the production number. I asked how they got the motor they told me the guy who had a red gsr totaled his car and droped the motor off and never came back. Auto theft has checked all the vins in their shop and nothing has come up stolen. soooooooooooo i picked it up!!!

Congrats on a rare and interesting find. If you feel like tracking down some of the others: someone in the ITR forum had B18C5 # 0000001 a few years ago, and I remember seeing B18C1 # 6000001 a while back as well.

Si. Thats right.
Si. Thats right.
it means you have 32nd block made in 1998
1 being the first year of production
1 being the first year of production
wat do you mean you dont know wat to do with it. hell if its gonns sit around and collect rust ill buy it. build the **** out of it!
not knowing wat to do with it not as in letting it sit there and collect dust. Idk if i should build it and swap it in or build it and let it sit their in a shrine lol or jus clean it up and put it in a glass case. I don't wana put it in my car cuz if it was stolen id end up commiting so many murder charges
hell i would take and clean it up and paint it and us it to make a coffee table out of just put plexiglass on it and use the head bolts to hold the plexi glass on
with a honda 4 cyl it is not bad but when you start using an old ford v6 castiron block it is a bitch caust it heavy but it looks nice we welded the conecting rods to the cylinder walls and welded the conecting rods to the pistons so the plexi glass site level ontop of the piston
I was at Daytona for Bike Week a number of years ago. In the infield, I stumbled across a then new Honda RC51. Having not seen one yet, I looked it over carefully, and saw that it was VIN #000000001! Got a pic around here somewhere....
