Default Civic DX sedan - what's the redline?

What's the redline on a 89 Civic DX sedan (5 speed)?

Probably 6500-7000ish.

This isn't a hard question to figure out. Push the gas on the floor and you will hit the limiter.

It should be 7000, every EF I've ever had revved out to 7 with the stock ECU.

I'm looking for the redline, not the rev limit.

It's not good to bounce off the limiter.

the redline is 7k, the rev limiter is there to keep it out of redline. You can bounce a stock honda engine off the rev limiter quite often without damaging it as long as it has oil pressure.

red line rpm gauge shows 6,500 but you can take it to 7,000 before rev limiter kicks in. i did it to my 91 sedan LX daily motor never went bad. changed d15 at 290,000 plus miles for b16

Your telling me a DX 1.5 has a higher redline then a SI? I doubt it.
