Default cd5 wiring issue

i have a 95 accord EX and recently i noticed a problem. my dash lights stopped working. i pulled the fuse and it was blown. i replaced the fuse and now the left side corner light in the front and the turn signal bulb stay on when i shut the car off. i pulled the fuse and everything went out.

also the headlights are stuck on high beam and the turn signals dont work. with the dash light fuse in the left turn stays on, no flashing, jsut constant, and fuse out it does nothing. the 4 ways work but that is pretty much it.

i checked for wires grounded out and found nothing in the few min i looked.

anyone ahve any ideas?

Thanks

Eric

I will make this a long story although maybe not 100% accurate. The headlights and hazards work directly from battery power, no key needed in the ignition switch. The turn signals and cornering light needs the key on for them to work. The turn signal wiring goes through the hazard switch so sometimes a shorted hazard switch effects turn signal issues, BUT, since all of your light systems are effected, headlights, cornering light and turn signal, I would focus on the light switch on the steering column, that is if your model uses that light stalk on the steering column to control both turn signals and headlights. The cornering lights are tied to both the headlights and turn signals while the hazards are kind of in a seperate loop of the turn signal system.

Remove the light stalk from the steering column and look for burnt spots, I hope you find it there, a short that is, good luck.

the multi-function switch is where i was thinking about heading, but i wondered if it were something as simple as a relay like suggested above.

which relay in peticular? i think there is a lighing one correct?

thanks

I want to say it's in the under hood fuse box... but not 100% sure.

I dont think that any relay would effect all three of your problems at the same time, but you know how Murpheys Law can come into play.

I did have an Air Condition Relay feed voltage into another wire creating some other AC issues, but I just do not see this happening in your case unless you actually do have a wire harness problem or a ground problem that grounds the cornering light and turn signal that are effected, are they both on the same corner of the car?

Not a broken relay, but a squirrelly one, maybe damaged wires are bridged or something. I had this issue with my fog relays (they would come on just as they pleased regardless of the button) and opened up the relay to find it rusted to hell bridging multiple points.

yes it is the drivers side of the car..

the car dosent have AC, so i can pull that relay and leave it out, to eliminate one more possible problem
