MistaBone or SiFreak..you here right now?
i put that 88 crx si cam in my dx hatch, but my car doesn't feel any different. what gap am i supposed to set the lifters at?
do i put them at the crx si gap or my gap for my dx? i can advance my timing all the way, and my car will idle at 800 and it
used to idle at 1200. sometimes it feels like the car wants to turn off, any help on what i can do?
thanks,
93hb

The 88 cam is a hair milder than the 89+ up cam , too.
I used the 89+ cam, and a cam gear and I felt a small butt dyno difference.
Set the valves at 7in, 9out.
Cam at 3 degrees retard.
Ignition was at 18*
You may have to adjust your idle speed.
I didn't, the car would come close to stalling, but didn't.
With a cheap header and Iceman intake and a gutted 1850 pound car I ran a 15.5 my first time taking it down the strip.
