Looks like a stock type R valve cover. not trying to be a dick, just not really anything special

 

looks pretty good to me. what color paint did you use? looks a little cherry but i get the idea. , i wonder if it will age alike a stock r valve cover...?

im guessing you sanded the letters after it was painted to make them polished?

 

good work i don't think anyone has achieved the OEM look and color yet

 

What did you use to keep the paint from sticking to the letters? I tried using chapstick, but that didn't work to well.

 

just tape them off use a razor and trim around the letters or you can sand the letters after you paint

Thanks!!! I just sanded them down with 320 grit then 600 grit and finally 1000 grit...

i think it came out great. But if you don't have a C5 in the car i think it takes a little away. Especially when you will have people asking you if thats what's in there all the time and then it's no but i painted the VC. It did come out great tho, i need to to mine and this gave me motivation.

 

Looks decent very oem looks funny without the H in the center

 

a pic of it on the motor in the car would be nice to see too
