Default Eibach Pro Kit noisy in front end HELP!!!

Okay so almost a year ago, I installed the Eibach Pro Kit on my car along with the Pro Dampers. It's a 98 Accord 4 cylinder by the way. After a few weeks, it developed an awful noise in the front end, a weird kind of squeaking, like bushings or something. It only does it in the front and you can only hear it when going slow. If the car was as quiet at high speeds, you'd still be able to hear it. I took it to a shop to figure out what it was and he did. It's the Pro Damper bumpstops. When the car is lowered, it rests completely on the bumpstops. They are the shorter ones that came with it so I don't understand why they are doing this. Is it supposed to?? The sound it is making is the shaft of the strut moving through the bumpstop since the bumpstop can't move with the shaft of the strut. Anybody else have Eibach suspension that can help me out? Or can anybody help me? I'm beginning to hate these darn things and the noise is driving me INSANE! Thanks in advance!

I would want to say check your swaybar bushing first? Maybe lube it and cover it with teflon tape. I had the same problem when I lowered my car. Things wear out faster. Check that first...

Thanks for that advice but I already checked that. I've checked every bushing in the front end, that's how the guy at the shop found out that it was the bumpstops. When I put silicone grease on them they stop squeaking, until the grease wears off.

I should have some images shortly on what to check for. This bump stop squeak is the first one we have heard a problem with.

I thought the drop on the pro kit was only a little more than a inch, so the car should not be riding on the bump stops.

I had squeaks before I lowered my car, and I thought it was the shocks, and after I lowered my car with Eibach Sportlines, and KYB AGX shocks, the squeaks were still there. My mechanic friend finally told me that it was the bushings. If I push down on the shocks of the car, I can hear it, and it definitely are the bushings. I haven't gotten around to replacing them on my car as yet.

Mine is more like a scrunch. Its not like metal on metal contact. Does the Eibach springs require this tube swap thing on it as well?

Yeah, mine's a scrunch sound too.

And it's the shock bumpstop, not the control arm bumpstop.

Well I got some bumpstops from Eibach with a wider diameter hole for the strut to fit through. My scrunching sound is FINALLY gone! Thanks!

So, your car was hitting the stock bumpstops? I had cut my stock one, leaving about 2/3 of it.
How much did these bumpstops cost and where did you get them from?

I have the exact same problem. I'm running Sprint lowering springs & shocks. I've replaced all front balljoints iin hopes of taking care of the sound..Didnt work. I then lubed by swaybar bushings...sound came back.

I inspected all front end bushings and ALL is well. I was thinking it was my shocks since there was nothing else I can think of. I can hear the scrunch sound when I push down on the front driver shock. It isn't a metallic sound at all so I dont think bumpstops would be the problem..sounds more like bushings..But i inspected and lubed them all!

Can I get a straight answer on what I should do next? This is making me insane, and keeping me from enjoying my Accord.

someone PLEASE HELP

Bumpstops are not metal, they are foam bushings that go on the shaft of the shock. Replacing the bumpstops with Shibby's dampers seem to fix the problem. Maybe your next step would be to look into doing the same if you exhausted all other options.
