Default 2001 CW ITR pics, Spoon N1 axel back install

It was a beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon in Toronto. The Pope's in town for World Youth Day, Schumi cleaned up at Hockenheim why not add to the day's events with a sprinkle of some Spoon goodness.

Here's some pictures of the car and of the Spoon N1 install.

Major props goes to BABY NSX. Mechanic extraordinaire!

"Spoon N1 in box"

"Jack that thang up"

"Before: Stock ITR muffler"

"Engine shot"

"Hood up shot"

"Ahh Spoon N1 goodness"

Edwin,

You need to find a way to post an audio clip of dat thang!

Loud yes, but very yummy!

Good choice!

Hey, where are the rest of the shots? You're holding back on another tasty addition

BABY NSX, not everyone has high speed so I don't want to make this thread too bandwidth intensive. I just want to include enough picture to get the point across. Anyways you'll have access to all the pictures and video clips taken when you upload them from my camera's memory stick.

No sound clip for you fellas. Not yet. But when RaVAGE00 sees this thread, he might be be willing to rig up a MIC from one of his wafer thin laptops in order to capture the music emitted from my car's revised tail end.

Thanks for the positive comments!

Funny you mention that, yes there were blocks in place as back-up. And for the first time in my life they came in effect. The jack started to slip and the car simply rolled onto the blocks. Not the smartest thing I have ever done but the blocks did their job.

I don't usualy work on un-even ground like that so the whole setup was new to me.

Still, I feel kind of dumb...

Edwin, glad to see everything turn out in the end. Your car is getting meaner and meaner every day I like...

Hallusin8.com,
It's was under control man.. NOT. The car is on blocks.

BTW that jack is not the stock piece. I brought out the stock RX-7 jack for this crowning moment. Aluminum goodness, should have been included with the ITR.

siisgood00,
Thanks for the input. Notice the HIDs in my "hoodup shot".

Please tell me you did not crawl underneath the car with a stock jack?

Horsepower gains? Well I didn't push the car yet...

I was zipping through the neighbourhood after the install.. rounding the corner I saw two white cop cruisers parked on the side of the road. I immediately slammed on the brakes and gently modulated the throttle until it sounded like stock. Then I drove by them. Phew.. that was a close call. In the back of the mind, I was thinking about a Honda-Tech member who like me got a Spoon N1, drove around, but then shortly after he got a ticket testing it out on the streets.

When I got back I decided for the next round through the neighbourhood I will put on the silencer. Let me tell you guys there was a BIG difference in MUSIC PRODUCTION (that's what I like to call the sounds emitted from the N1 ) Probably a 10DB reduction. The exhaust is actually streetable with the silencer on.

What I love about the Spoon N1 is: it has a discreet smaller than stock ITR muffler tip, it's light, and as you back off the throttle you hear small popping backfiring sounds. Major cool factor.

Thats what im saying. Mine is closer to the bumper. it is soo close that i can not get a stretched towel between the tip and the bumper. it looks way better when it is up closer to the bumper. i think it is hanging to low on your car edwin. adjust it is what i recommend it looks 100% better.
