i have a 99 integra but my hood latch wont open what do i do ?

 

I used to have to hold my hood popper open while someone pulled up on my hood because it wouldn't pop up. It worked. I eventually started using my tire iron to prop that latch up and I could open the hood myself if I was alone.

If you feel like your hood popper is broken and it's not even engaging the hood release, I've heard you can pop the hood from the front left wheel well... I'm not sure though.

 

^^ On tegs the hood release cable is inside the fender lining on the drivers side. Also try have someone bang on the hood while you pull the lever.

 

take apart the hood latch from the driver side and pull on the cable? just to rule the cable out as being the problem?

 

Pull on the release cable like mentioned in the posts above.
Check to see if the cable is connected to the lever, check the latch as well after you get it open.
