Default turbo b16 ignition ...

hi

I have turbo b16 and Im looking for 500-650 whp but I need a reliable ignition to reach this power, Im between the msd billet distributor and the AEM pencil coils with the C2DI.

so what do you guys think about them are they any good and which one is better to use, and if you have and other options let me know

Whats wrong with OEM?
I heard the MSD unit hasn't been working up to par.. But I could be wrong so do your research.

Im running OEM, but mine did take a **** on the dyno.. It was the original so i'll give it that much. Replaced it with a new one and haven't had a problem since.

I've heard this and that about MSD, but I know tons of guys running them without any problems and would swear by them..

You can be simple w/ the ignition for that power. Using your stock distributor with an upgraded external coil and MSD (or equivalent) box, will do more than fine. If you want a C2DI, that's fine, but for your needs, you don't need to even go THAT far.
