I got a set of 4dr type r front seats and 2dr type r front seats, i was just wondering if the seats from the db8 are the same as the dc2, seeing if theres any difference between them or no?

 

Different.

 

The front seats are the same. The rears are different.

 

I had bought DB8R rails (for my DC5 Recaros) and had to use longer bolts for the rear inner bracket in my old hatch. When I put DC2 Recaros in my old GSR, I didn't have to use longer bolts.

 

They both looked the same to me when I checked my 2 ITR on Sat. IF you need a definite answer with pics, pm me and I will get you pics of both. MY 2 door ITR should arrive on Thu. The 4 door ITR is parked in my parking lot.

 

If you are reffering to the JDM DC2 and DB8 seats here are the differences:
DC2-red, DB8-black
DC2-shorter, DB8 taller

Where did you get this info from? These are the same Recaro's

 

I remember being in hong kong and my cousin had a DB8 ITR and he switched out his driver side(passenger side for us Americans) seat for a RED JDM DC2 seat (because his seat cushion ripped) that he had laying around the garage and the seatback was shorter than the Black SRD by about half an inch or so..

 

I know which seat is which, seeing that I have a DB8 ITR. I also have access to many JDM parts and all of their part numbers. The difference between the 2 could have been a seat rail or some wear. Which part was 1/2" shorter?

The actual seatback when placed next to the red DC2 recaro SRD was about 1/2 inch shorter. I also have a Japanese magazine called " I love DC2 and DB8 Integra Type R" and inside they placed both seats side by side and the differences were obvious. It would make sense as the 4drs have a higher roofline.

 

I will have to check on the part numbers and see what they tell me.

 

Well i'm sure the p/n of the actual seatbacks will be different due to the color of the fabric but maybe the seatrails will be different. Actually the seatrails will definitely be different because a DC2's seatrail has the ability to slide the seat foward with a lever as opposed to a DB8 which wouldnt have that feature

 

The part # will be different for the fabric only. The seats sold in Japan are the same as the one here, where you have to buy every piece seperately. The only numbers that I need to look at, are the numbers for the seat backs and the number to the rails.

 

I just confirmed it 100% with part #'s, that the DC2 and DB8 JDM Recaros are the same. The only difference is the rails, the DB8 rails sit a tad higher though they bolt into the exact same spots.

That is probably why I had to use longer bolts for the rear inner bracket because that bracket is slightly thicker (than DC2 rails).

 

That would be the reason.
