Default Energy Suspension Bushing Questions.

since ive done so much on my car, ive thought about buying the Energy Suspension bushing kit for my car. a 91 civic sedan. i assume the crx/civic kit will work.

the kit includes

ok Front Control Arm Bushings
?? Rear Control Arm Bushings
?? Front Strut Rod Bushings (verify where this goes please)
ok Front Shock Mount Bushings (verify where this goes please)
ok Rear Shock Mount Bushings (89-91 Only) (verify where this goes please)
ok Front End Links Set
?? Steering Rack Bushings (verify where this goes please)
?? Transmission Shifter Stabilizer Bushings (manual tranny)
ok Ball Joint End Boots
ok Tie Rod End Boots

i know i cannot use the shifter bushing cause it says it for a D-series. i have an LSV with hasport shift linkage. Which shifter bushing kit am i suppose to buy? (model/year)

i have Blox rear LCA. its bad cause the bushing for the struts are torn to ****. i dont have money for Skunks or higher brands. im wondering will the "rear control arm bushings" that is included with the kit fit the Blox LCA?

i also have the 88 crx si rear sway bar on my car. what is the size of the bar? so i can also get the bushing set for that. my car is a stock DX front sway whats the size of the front?

i came across this thread in the Fa-q

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/1986828

but i cannot open the files. or dont know which program to open with..anyone with info please help.

Front strut rod bushings are used to mount the strut rods to the front subframe. The strut rods are the bars coming off the front lower control arm to the front subframe.

The front and rear shock mount bushings are mounted in the cap of the strut.

Steering rack bushings mount the rack to the rear subframe(behind engine, front of car).

Shifter bushings should not matter. Should be the same.

Rear control arm bushings probably will not fit the BLOX arms.

Thats all I got for you man. Make sure you preload suspension before tightening to prevent premature wear and shitty ride.

P.S. I prefer Honda rubber bushings or the Mugen hard rubber.

great answers. how much are the honda rubbers or Mugens?? any better or same as ES?

and the blox, i have no choice but to get new ones? what about that goo like thing people use to reinforce their motor mounts but its not the inserts? apply, let it dry and it solid..i dont know what its callled. can i use that for my bushing on my LCA?

Honda bushings are quite pricey. Check out majestic honda online for pricing.

Mugen bushings are very pricey. I've got em through out my entire suspension and motor mounts. check out KingMotorsports.com for pricing.

IMO poly bushings are crap!!

I've learned the hard way to never use Poly on the lower front arm.
The inner most bushing destroys itself after several months of hard driving (autocross and track days).
Poly does not "stretch" back into shape either.

rear Si bar is 15mm.

front DX and Si hatch/crx (same) bar is 18mm. but ALL SEDANS have 19mm front bar.

there is no 16mm front swaybar. just HF 17.2mm. STD hatches dont have front swaybars.
