Default S1 trans specs...

hey guys i was just curious if the S1 cable trans were only 1990-1993 ls cable trannies or is there some b16 cable S1 trannies as well with the same serial number (S1) ??

S1 is also a cable tranny version for the early JDM Integra B16a XSi (88-91). This version has very close gear ratios, great acceleration. I believe it has the exact same gear ratio as the 98 USDM Integra Type R.

If you're not boosting, this tranny is great. You'll go thru the gears very quickly and always keeps you in Vtec range. Downfall is that you will be cruising at a very high RPM, not good for your mpg. If only they offered LSD for this tranny, it would be the best cable tranny, period.

In my opinion, the USDM S1 version is lame in comparison.

S1 is only 90-91 in the usdm
cable trannies from 92-93 are all YS1
