Could just be a bulb out. Maybe a weekend at most fix.

Are you sure the car is warming up? Check the lower coolant lines to see if they are as hot as the top. You may just need a new thermo

Bulbs are located on the back of your gauge cluster. Easy fix.

If the temp gauge isn't working, on the left side of your head, next to the ECT sensor is a smaller coolant temp. sensor. Use a volt meter and check that, as well as the wires to the gauge.

so yeah i realized that it does work, when i turn the key on and the car, the temp will go up a bit and drop back down. so more or less its constantly running cold.... so i dont know whats up with it... and also the heater never warms up all the way... and the fan is ALWAYS ON. from when i turn the key forward to however long im driving... it doesnt turn off.. oh and its weird that my car doesnt turn off right when i turn the key off... it'll stay on for like a second or so... and i dont have it turbo'd or anything its stock.... i dont know, this car has alot of weird issues i gotta figure out.
