Default Door Jam Switch problem...alarm related

Well i recently got my alarm professionally installed, and the person that installed my alarm told me my door jam switches were faulty and that i needed new ones and that he would put them in for free if i bought them.

I went out and bought some new ones. my alarm still doesent work properly
i know the switches work because i tested them on my other hatch, therefore what could be wrong fuses are okay, dome light works, wires are connected, dome light doesent turn off when i close my doors. and my alarm displays that my door is open? Im lost he asked me to take it to him but hes going to charge me 50 to fix it

any insight is appreciated.

Seems like the install is not up to par. I think he might of taged the door triggers wrong. If the car is doing the same thing with new door pins it has to be in the install. Did the car do this with out the alarm?

hopefully this dont sound confusing Des, with your experience you might know whats wrong.....

I would unplug the alarm brain or de tag the alarm brain from the car to see if thats the problem. If the alarm is tagged wrong it could keep the door light on. So in this order.

1. Take the alarm input trigger for the doors off the car. Make sure that everything works right.

2. Make sure the alarm door input is tagged to the green wire. Do not use the purple wire.

3. If your using a relay to control door light supervision. make sure it is wired correclty.

If you do number one and everything works straight your install needs to be checked out and make sure it is wired right. Alarm brain door trigger input is bad.
