Default Calling All Techs!!!!! Tach Will NOT Work

I just finished putting back my head together cause I bent all my valves and some reason, my tach is not working at all. I checked the blue wire on the distributor and it looks fine. My tach was working fine before the valve job but now no luck. Can anyone help me? I have a Field Vtec controller that I use to monitor the RPMs but I would also like my stock tach to work. Everything was fine before but now the tach is dead. Please help.

This may sound really dumb. Check the plugs that go to the evap system. Make sure they are all in the right spots, and plugged in. I unplugged one when I was working on my car and forgot to plug it back. The tach didnt work until I plugged it back in.

You can also trace its continuity, make sure its not broken.

I know I start from the distributor with the blue wire. But where do I trace it to?
