Default integra 94 gsr help

Hi,

I found this part under my car in my driveway. I don't know exactly where this goes or how to put it back on. Can anyone give me any directions on putting this back into my car? Also what exactly does this part do for my car?

Thank you in advance.

now have you driven your car after you found this? it looks like a tensioner pully. ether for the a/c or power steering. open your hood and look to see if you still have a belt in that area. if not, then there you go. and of the top of my head i think its ac up top and power steering on the bottom.

Well to be honest I re found this part in a box today that i was going through, this came out of my car prob a year ago. So they would mean it wouldnt have to deal with my power steering. So if it was for the a/c how exactly would i put it back in? Just find the hole and screw the bolt back in? or would I have to wrap the belt on top of it? I really dont know much about cars, but is this something that i can put back in by myself or do i need to bring it to a shop

Thank You in advance

Thats the A/C pulley to tighten the belt. You need 1 bolt that puts the pulley onto the A/C bracket which you would have to adjust yourself to tighten the A/C Belt.

Well, since it is for the ac will i be able to put it in from the top or do i have to go under the car to put the pulley back into the bracket?

you should be able to put it back on from the top. it might be a tight fit but you should be able to do it. now my question is, what happened to the a/c belt???

I think the belt is still there hooked on to another pully

if its the big belt in this picture and the the red circle is the part that fell off

so if i try to put it back on should i just follow that picture and loop the belt over the small pully too?

yeah, cause your supposed to use the pully to stretch out the belt to make it a tight circle. and if the belt is still there, do check it and make sure that it's still okay(no cracks or dry rot), or you'll be doing this again.
