ctr pistons r garbage but if i would rec. pistons ide say cp with eagle rods but i would rec. another thing it would be to ditch the block and do either a gsr block or sumthin like a b20 for b20 vtec all motor b16 is kinda weak. or another stock piston would be the jdm b16 pistons a lil better than stock and they r cheap.

First question, is why do you want to change the pistons and rods. Second is what are you attempting to do with the car? plans? goals? intended usage?

i want to change the pistons because i want higher compression (also thinking of a 50 shot wayyyy down the road) and i want aftermarket pistons also because im going to drag it. and i mean since id be changing the pistons its retarded not to upgrade the rods no? goals....low/mid 12's....it runs a 13.9 now....thanks for the input so far guys

ur plans are good, except 1 detail. High compression on the shot may not be the route ur wanting to take. U could end blowing gasket/rod. I got a b16 in my 88Si. Ive got plans for a Mid 12s daily driver. From I read/hear/know (honda-tuning/best motoring/vtec club) an all motor setup setup is best achieved with compression above normal, low would b a route for turbo/nos(imo)

You can increase the compression by running JDM b16a pistons (p30) and switching to a GSR head with flat faced valves, 2 layer head gasket etc but you'd be better off using a larger block for more power.

The stock rods are plenty strong in the b16a and a 50 shot of N2O is negligible and wouldn't really require upgrading anything to use it, just proper tuning.
