How do i identify CAMS?

How do i identify CAMS?
ok so i'm about to buy a gsr exhaust cam, how will i know for the future what cam i'm looking at. i've heard that they dont have any stamp on there, only on the cam gears. So how will i know if its gsr, b16, ctr, ect. . . . any way of knowing?
