Default 92 CX Build- Just got it. CHECK IT!

I traded my 87 lude si for this car a couple weeks ago, I think I'm getting into more then I can handle. The car already has a d16z6 swap with a si tranny. and here is the list of other parts:
-Ported and polished head
-comp cam 59300 cam
-new valve job
-had the ridge taken out of block and re-honed
-6 thousands taken off the block for decking
-eagle forged rods
-low comp. vitara pistons
-micropolished crank
-balanced
-light weight flywheel
-stage 2 race clutch
-arp head studs
-oil pan mod for turbo return line
-high flow fuel rail and 440cc injectors

I still plan on the turbo but what else would you do first BESIDES fix the ugly primer and wheels, I already know this lol.

I know, I know take that exhaust off. It was supposed to fit but its too long and my buddy's dad who did it won't take it off. Its a greddy evo by the way.

If it runs ok Id say just make sure its up to date on maintenance. Then I think you know what we're all going to say. Lower, wheels, paint, and whatever you think would look good. Personally if I got a hatch I would do cf duckbill, spoon lip and oem cf hood. some 15's and good suspension.

just a heads up if the compression has been droped for boost then u dont want to wait long to put the turbo on its super harsh on the motor if the the compression is to low

Also you might want to look into a good ecu program when you put your turbo like hondata or tuned on chrome or some other program.

lower compression just sucks, efficiency is bad. less gas mileage, and might run like crap with out a chipped ecu, im not shure though. Shouldn't damage the motor though, just don't try and accelerate, you'll just look like a hybrid car wasting all that gas for nothing.

So you're saying it will be slow?

That's completely different than:<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by DeeEG6SI &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">just a heads up if the compression has been droped for boost then u dont want to wait long to put the turbo on its super harsh on the motor if the the compression is to low</TD></TR></TABLE>

Just wanted some clarification.

Being slow due to low compression and no boost is different than building a ticking time bomb that will blow up IMO.

OMG where do yall get your CRACK! Doesnt anyone here know low compression motors and turbos go together. Its okay if you wait on turboing your motor, but i bet with low comp Vitara pistons its doesnt have to much accel. as far as a Stand alone you dont have to run one, but if you want the most out of your built motor i would suggest any one of them mentioned. Good luck!

Thanks guys. those wheels did look horrible until I painted them.

I'm trading the carbon fiber hood for a stock one tomorrow, It looks like rice to me lol.

Its still slow but I'm making progress. But if any of you have a exhaust for it lmk. B/c I got a Greddy evo from a guy, and he screwed me over so I only have the muffler and no piping. But it sticks out way too far anyways.

I need an exhaust!

I've decided I'm gonna wait on the turbo, what pistons should I put in it for now. I know its bad to use low comp. w/o turbo but how bad?

its not "bad" at all, its just not going to make as much power as it would with high comp pistons. most na sohcs are slow anyway, i wouldnt worry about it if you plan to boost it at some point
