Changing oil pan gasket. Where should hondabond be applied? Is Hondabond necessary?
Where should the hondabond be applied? I'm not sure where it should be put on, if anyone has done this before can ya tell me where ya applied the hondabond. I'm not sure if I should placed it all around the pan or just some places. And did anybody get away without using and hondabond? any leaks after? Just curious.
i'll tell you whats more important than the hondabond first. make sure the gasket mating surfaces are CLEAN! then put hondabond on the gasket and then put the gasket on the oil pan, then bolt her back up.

X2
Spray some type of cleaner to get the oil off. Put hondabond all around.

you can get away without using hondabond. like others stated make sure the surfaces are clean of grease and oil theres no washers left on the two studs closest to the flywheel side and bolt it back up. and you dont need to use your ******* hand to tighten it. ive seen many people who over tighten the little 10mills and mushroom the gasket
