peicing together my turbo kit reccomend me some guages/EMS plz.
First off I live in alaska theres no dynos or racetracks in my area. I am new to tuning I really have no clue about turbocharging at this point in time besides about the components functions and how they are hooked up.
I was thinking about buying a aem ems for managment. the price is just so high
I am pretty set on getting the aem uego and there boost controller guage (cant think of the name atm) I am not shure what I should do about what egt set up I should get
what are my options here I would like to go with the set up I have mentioned above (aem guages) so whatever ems will work with those is prefered tuning ease is also important.
I have a 2001 accord 4cyl 2.3l BTW
Thanks in advance Conrad

If you're going to attempt to tune it yourself, stay far far away from the AEM EMS. Best bet is to probably look into a Hondata S200 (used) or a S300. More qualified people will chime in soon I'm sure.
Since you don't have a dyno or racetrack it might be much easier for you to setup a stock based system and get it running.
I recommend the NepTune RTP or s300. Both systems are capable of controlling boost for you. As far as gauges go, check out the TunerView LCD at http://www.hrtuning.com, which works for both systems mentioned. It will show you everything you want to see.

does anyone have opinions on the aem f/ic? or other piggyback units? I'd hate to go that way
I know you can put a chipped p28 into my car and tune that way any easy programs for that?

That would be crome, which you'll need other hardware for. I still recommend NepTune RTP and Hondata over Crome, especially if you want to datalog. NepTune RTP and Hondata are all-in-one units.

no thoughts about the AEM F/IC?
or any other cheaper easily tuneble ems set ups out there?

I had the aem wideband and personally didn't like it. The analog voltage output never even matched the display of the gauge itself.
You may have some luck on some information about aem stuff on their forums. I found my problem wasn't the only one, there were quite a few others with the same issue.

Im running Hondata S300 its been great. I replaced all my gauges with Prosport gauges except for the wideband that is a PLX m300. gauges are very accurate for the price. boost is off by like 1 psi rpm's are pretty much dead on. i dont DEPEND on the gauges. i look to them as a reference point.
