Had my engine swapped but.....
So I just had a B16A2 engine (SiR in Canada) installed into my 94 Civic Si (Canada) and I am far from impressed. NOw I know where I had it swapped they didn't replace the ECU becuase he said it was OBD1 and wouldn't fit so he just re-programmed my original P28 chip and said it would be better anyways. However, the car pretty much stops pilling after i hit 4000 rpm's and my buddy who drives a stock integra with 140 HP. compared to my new 160 HP engine, took my doors on the quarter mile. I only beat a 94 Si with Intake and exhaust by .4 seconds as well. Shouldn't this car be running faster now? Keep in mind that everything is still stock.. i haven't done exhaust or intake.
Thanks for all your help guys.. really though.. this is pissing me off. I just spent 5 grand on this engine and want it to be performing the way it's supposed to.
sounds like VTEC is'nt functioning properly, you may not be getting CELS because the jackass that programmed it took them all out, take it back to him and have him check it out, if he wont or cant fix it, take it somewere else.
Find a known good ECU and install it, see if you pull CEL's or if VTEC engages.

Vtec is working.. i can hear it kick in.. i like it.. but i do have a feeling that I'm running a stoc P28 as well.. I'm not so sure that he chipped it like he said. I'm going through gas like crazy as well...
were is your rev limiter at???
When does VTEC engage?
What exhaust are you running it through?
Are you sure VTEC is engaging?
