Default 1990 EX...red battery light stays on

Recently replaced alternator and battery. Charging system checks out just fine, 13.5 + volts under heavy load. All fuses and relays are good and literally everything works perfectly..except the damn red battery light stays on ALL of the time. Like I said everything works well but the battery light is a new symptom and I am scratching my watch at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The battery light is usually indicative of a bad alternator.

If you unplug the negative terminal on your battery while the car is on, does it continue to run?

Car continues to purr even with the negative terminal disconnected. Charging system has been tested several times under load..

Any additional thoughts?

Alternator is definitely good.

That usually knocks out the culprits with it haha. Alternator being the main one.

I'm also guessing along with that the belt is tightened correctly and does not slip up?

Yeah, the belt is tightened correctly and does not slip at all.

I don't have any other suggestions, those are the only causes I've seen in relationship to the battery light. It should not need to be reset (like the SRS light) so that's not the issue, and if the alternator and battery are both good and functional then obviously it's not that.

Hopefully someone else can step in to help you. Sorry I couldn't be more useful.

could possibly be the sending unit for that light... other than that i have no idea if it isn't the alternator.
