Golden Eagle VTEC fitting VS Russell Fitting
Locally I can get better prices from a shop for the Russell/Edelbrock -6AN to 1/8"NPT fittings than I can for the Golden Eagle Cylinder Head to -6AN fittings
Are these essentially the same part?
Russell #660450/660451/660453

Golden Eagle #GVCHeadAN6
Thanks

Pffft, you don't know what you're talking about. EVERYONE knows that teflon tape has the same tensile strength as steel and or high grade aluminum.
ROLL IT HIGH LET IT FLY!!

ha. I would like to see the tensile strength of this space-age teflon tape you are talking. 32k psi. NA...

You can't re-tap because they are so close.
It's common to see a BSPT(R) and BSPP(G) interchanged. It's also common to see G/R's into a NPT because the MD and PD are smaller on G/R's and "can" work in a NPT hole. However, not vice versa.
ON EDIT: For argument sake the MD on a 3/8NPT is .675, the MD on a R/G 3/8 is .655 or 16.662mm. Not to mention form angle of 55 vs. 60. Do the math.

Why would them being close not work ? I mean the tap is different and its an aluminum head that is extremely easy to do.
