iv got a 92 si hatch that i bought about 8 months ago and when i was driving home i noticed the dash hatch light was on... so i pulled over and slammed it shut and it went off... and now the light is on and stays on no matter how hard i try to slam the trunk... any one ever had this problem??

 

I have never had that problem. However there is a switch in the hatch that is activated when the glass is closed more then likely the switch is bad or the wiring harness is unplugged or damaged
