Default DIY rewrapping door panel inserts

need some help

anyone know how to do this on integra or someone have a write up... ive searched found quite of few pics of civic and a couple of tegs.... attempted to do it myself few days ago ...

1 can of spray adhesive
exacto knife
red tweed fabric

1.I removed the door panels
2.removed the inserts
3.removed stock cloth inserts
4.cut fabric to match size of stock fabric
5. masked off rest of door so glue wouldn't get all over the place
6. sprayed light coat of adhesive

here is the problem when i lay the fabric and try and wrap it im left with bunches of fabric folds around the corners and the edges dont quite tuck right... is there some special way im supposed to lay fabric out to get it to stretch right so its not bunched up...ive looked at some of the pics on

and it looks so clean... if anyone has wrapped inserts before do you have any advice on how to do it better ... im gonna reattempt it tonight and use rubber cement and try and tuck the corners better...any helpful input would be nice thanks.

i wrapped my old ls door panels with black suede...

Start working from the inside out towards the edges...once you get to the edges, use a squeggy or blade to gentle spread it out, stretch it, and fold it in the crevice where the door panel insert ends...

It worked like a charm for me, and it came out almost perfect..

Good luck and post pics of the work
