Looking for someone to do some work on my civic in VA
I'm in the Front Royal area. I just got done doing a swap and can't get the car to run right. I have done everything I know and need a specialist to take a look. I have plenty of garage room, jacks, tools, etc, everything needed. LMK, I'm off Fri-Sun.
I was throwing a CEL 14 which is the IAC sensor. Replaced the sensor and the car ran fine for a few minutes with no check engine light coming on. Then check engine came back on and I reran the CEL to find that 14 came back up again. I rechecked the wiring and hoses and everything was good. Disconnected the battery hoping that would help but when I restarted the car, it is now throwing a CEL 14 and 10. This is a gsr swap into a 93 coupe, with the stock EX harness and a stock gsr ECU.
is the swap an obd1 or obd2 engine? and it will most likely have to be in your wiring somehwere if you have a vtec harness and gsr ecu.
It's an OBD1 setup. I actually had another harness on the swap that did not work out. This harness I have on there now came off an EX coupe that was running fine. I did go through the harness especially around the area where it splits off the IAC and IATC wires to make sure there was no cuts or splits.
did you try cleaning your sensors out and possibly replacing them. cuz idk what the hell it could be. i had issues with my swap too but it was all wiring stuff. your setup sounds legit and done properly...but your still having issues. lol sorry i cant help you anymore...but someone on h-t can.
