Default LSVTEC vs CRVTEC Question. For cost is it worth the extra coin. Feedback from guys who have switched

Im just curious for all you guys who are using the CRVTEC from a LSVTEC setup.

I can get a free LS block. Ive looked around town and B20's are hard to come by they are 800-1000.

Im just looking to doing a inexspensive allmotor setup for my car. Is the B20 with some RS pistons compaired to the LS with a set of same compression pistons going to make alot more power ?

Just some input. Ive looked and found a few answers.

Im mainly looking for feedback from the guys who have gone from the LS block to the CRV see there in puts.

B20 tq/hp > B18, but if the ls block is free and you want to keep things cheap, there's really no debate.

don't spend $800+ for a stock b20; Golden Eagle sells sleeved blocks for ~$910 shipped.

to spend a 1000 on the b20 or a free ls ide say aint worth it ls block is the same block minus the piston size... same crank same rods...

Sleeve design is different.

there is someone local to me selling a complete b20 with a bad headgasket (according to him) for 140 bucks or so.

i paid 200 bones for my b20 bottom end which i ended up sending to GE for a re-sleeve.

if you search hard enough you can find B20's cheap. dont spend anything more than 500 for a stock B20.

is the hp/tq of the 2.0 worth it over the 1.8.......hell ya

keep the ls block...dont invest money on something that's similar....the difference compare to a ls block is the sleeve.....b20 has a bigger bore and has the same component as crank and rods....

Yeah i found a bare block at 300 bucks so i will see. I can take the guts from the ls and use the crank and rods in the B20 block and some RS ITR pistons have it bored to 84.25 or 84.5mm
