88s are differnt than the other 3. i have an 89 with 91 seats they were a direct bolt in. to answer your question yes the 89 seats will fit, i'm 100% sure.

They bolt in differently and sit at different heights

I think you guys got confused at what he was asking. CRX seats go to CRX Civic to Civic. and 88-91 is your year spread for the EF's without any modding newer than that and I'm not sure

89 crx front seats will bolt to your 91 civic si.
just use the seat rails from your 91 civic si.
that shouldnt be too confusing.
