ok so i changed the radio and put in a another radio with a screen that plays movies, anyway after i got it installed i realized that my volume and power buttons on my steering wheel didnt work anymore. Is there a way to make them work with an aftermarket radio? or if i get the original honda radio with navigation will the buttons work with that unit?

 

When you installed the new radio were there any unused harnesses? That's probably what you need to plug in.

 

i had someone install it for me but if there was an extra harness, theres no where to plug it, in the radio

 

you need the module for the buttons.

 

mine dont work. i was told they wont work.

 

the controls will not work on aftermarket radio, you will need to buy a module like pac swi-ps, this is what i used when i upgraded to pioneer avic d3...

The buttons work off a can-bus system, Gotta have the modules speak the same language.
