95 Civic-Partial stalling when stopped and delay in shifting?.....
Hi everyone!
K so here's the deal. I have had my 95 Honda Civic since May 08' and I have brought it in for service more times than I'd like to admit for an oil leak. Noone could seem to pinpoint the problem (oil pan hole, seals loose, head gasket, etc..yada yada) I brought it to a mechanic (ya know...the friend of the friend of the friend who would give ya a deal
) anyways, he had my car for a week, gave it back and said he fixed the seals, replaced the water pump and the timing belt. Great! Except a week later it was leaking again. So I brought back to him a second time. This time he had it for 4 days and called me saying that he figured out that it was a problem with the head gasket that caused antifreeze and oil to pour into all the wrong places and I would need a new motor. 2 motors later, after the 1st replacement didn't work, I get my car back and the check engine light is on (never seen that before!) also the car feels like it's gonna stall when I come to a stop and there is a delay in the shifting. It hasn't stalled yet, but I don't want to bring back to that idiot. I was wondering if anyone would know why it may be doing this.
