04 accord cigarette lighter adaptor not working
just wondering if what can be the cause of cigarette lighter not to be working, i check the fuse box and everything but no luck (the one inside the center console storage is also not working)?
have you tried getting a new lighter? you can buy them at auto parts store. if thats not the problem, you will have to replace the receiver.

If you two power outlets are not functional, then it's highly likely to be the fuse.
Which fuse(s) did you check and where are they located?

Fuse 9 is correct, however it supplies power to the accessory power socket relay, which then supplies power to the Cigarette Lighter. So you may have a bad relay as well. Check out the wiring diagrams on alldatadiyhttp://traffic.alldatadiy.com/...1766 if it keeps giving you trouble.

Right on man. I used to work on 45 at Honda of Clear Lake. Now I work at another Honda dealership.
You a tech or just a Honda owner?

Yes. Bad fuse 9 (15A), bad relay, or it could also be a bad fuse 32 (7.5A), also under the dash. That fuse supplies power to the control side of the Accessory Power Socket Relay.

Also, if you have a Japan-made Accord (03-05 I think, VIN beginning with "J"), then there is a service bulletin about the power outlet receptacle.
I damaged my cigarette socket when manipulating an FM transmitter device into it. Would this be an easy DIY replacement? the shim adapter for the FM transmitter was too large and I pushed too hard to get it in. It broke something and I can freely pull it out. It doesn't seem to maintain appropriate contacts for continuous power/current. Any advice for method of replacement would be appreciated.
before you jump to conclusions with fuses, pull it out to see if the port behind the lighter in the console is connected to it first. they do have a tendency to disconnect themselves if your tranny is m/t. if its connected then you know for sure its an electrical problem.
