block question?
just recently i found out my type-r block needs to be sleeved because of cylinder wall damages due to a bad wrist pin. i live in hawaii and no one does that type of machining here. decided to put that on the motor in the side for now because dont have a money to do sleeve it. just picked up a b16a short block with internals in good condition, i was wondering if the type-r head would benefit the block and if i should swap over things like the oil pump the crank etc. not really knowlegable about swpping parts from type-r block and head to b16a block any info would be great.

the b18c5 short blocks are still available new from acura for under $2500. that's an easier solution than just the block. or, if you have a big build planned down the road you could get a dart block
which, in my opinion is superior to ANY sleeve build.
