Car: 99 civic dx
Motor: 2000 usdm itr
Mileage: under 90k
Story: I've noticed the car has been consuming some oil (automatically assumed valve seals no biggie) but coming from my girls house I noitced my oil light on so I pulled to the gas station not even 3 miles down the road so I grab some mobil clean 5000 I usually put mobil 1 5w30 full syn so I put a quart in and take off next thing I notice black smoke and pouring out the exhaust it started to sputter and buck/hesitate
Question: did I damge something by using this oil? What do you think could be the problem? Spark plugs,wires,simple drain of the oil and change filter?
Statements: I know the engine is strong as an ox cuz I'm still getting 320+ to a tank for mileage (dunno if I'm being naive)
Help me out fellas I love this car and I'm extremley bummed now
