crx back seat
sure you have foot room if you are 4' 5" and drive with seat tilted all the way forward and slid as far up as it goes. And then you have a lot of headroom under the back glass, if you are 3' 8" Seems like it would be good for those situations and unless you are a midget i dont think that would work.
If i was a friend of yours and you told me to climb back there, I would tell you to suck a ****.
Not meaning to sound like a ***** even though I might^^^, I just dont think it is even close to worth it. Have a good one.

yeah it looks sweet but ultimatley pretty worthless. i know for me to drive comfortsbly in my crx i have the seat almost all the way back and there isnt room for anything back there when the seat is back
I always thought the CRX backseats were made for children but my brother had a Mercury Capri as his first car and the backseats are just as small as these. Most people fit in them okay unless they were big or tall.

i'd like to note i'm aware the jdm crx has a "backseat", if you want to call it that. however i would assume since he doesn't have a jdm crx, or the intent to get one, that usdm crx's for all intensive purposes in the U.S. do not have backseats.

no matter what anyone thinks it is, its a backseat . The JDM CRX's had a lot of things our USDM didn't get. If someone wants the full JDM look and feel on their car then by all means get it. crxjarred IMO the seat is useful and not too bad looking. Tight fit but you don't need to have your seat all the way forward to seat someone back there.

the only reason the JDM crx has back seats is because japanese people are about 2:1 ratio to americans... THEY ARE SMALL *** PEOPLE... beside i THINK... ONCE AGAIN, I THINK, the JDM rex has a tad bit more interior room than ours... also the rex has a less than average crash test rating for US standards, so thats why no back seats... just my 2 cents
Both Japan and Europe got them. I don't care for them myself, and sure as hell wouldn't want to sit back there. Most were make of cheap vynle (sp) and were know to crack in hot weather. If you look hard enough, it is possible to find the more rare cloth versions.
my friend has a 2006 Mustang, with back seats of course.
we all know how big mustangs are compared to CRX's.
in the back of the Mustang there is literally no room back there to sit. the person in front has to slide all the way up to make room.
just face it, as with any sport compact car, you will have to do the same thing.
you will have to do the same thing with the crx too.
but if you like to ride around with your friends, I think the rear seat is a great thing to have.
Then you wont have to get pissed when one of your friends caves in your USDM locker box.

for me i think crxs are not meant to have more than 2 passengers [including driver].
its a 2 seater. plus if you do get back seats, youll still have the same room as if you didnt have them.

I've read this three times now, and still have no idea what your point is.
I've had people back there, and they were more or less fine. It is better if there's only one person, so that they can sit diagonally.
Yes, it's probably fairly dangerous, but as has already been stated, it ain't that much safer to sit in the front of the car either!
Honestly, I did mine (about 10 years ago) more for the novelty and appearances of it than the practicality.

I installed an EDM back seat in my daily driver because I have to pick my kids up from school every now and then, or take them someplace. I do not use the back seat very often but when it is needed, it is nice to have. There is not very much foot room behind my drivers side, but we move the passenger seat all the way forward an put the third rider on that side. I did not install the seat "for points" but for conveinience. I have an extended cab Z-71, and my wife has a Camry that we travel in as a family, but I am in the CRX most of the time by myself.
