HELP! Tranny Drain Plug Broken
okay i was performing a manual transmission oil change, i was checking the oil drain plug due to leaking. I checked it and it seemed okay, but when i put it back on and torqued it, it broke off...
So Im now stuck with half the drain plug stuck in the tranny drain hole and the other half is in my hand...wtf
i am now on my way to go get another oil drain plug (Password:JDM Magnetic Oil Drain Plug)...
HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO GET IT OUT?!

Good electric drill, a high strength drill bit with diameter somewhat smaller than the plug, and a tool called an "EZ Out." Autozone, Napa, Pep Boys and similar should have the EZ Out. It's not a foolproof approach, but it is where many of us start.
Of course an electric drill with a reverse feature will help. Sometimes just drilling a hole will shake a broken bolt loose.

if the ehad is off, so there is no actual tension on the threads, then it shouldnt be tight, try staking a punch off center, and make alittle lip and drive it out that way, its hard to explain, but itll work.
