Default 1st gen Probe turbo (IHI) Oil fitting size?

What is the Oil feed fitting size on the IHI RHB52 VJ-11 (ford probe turbo)? Or on any IHI turbo?

Derek

[B][10x1.5/B]

What you should do is get a 10x1.5 banjo bolt for a 1984 Chevy Malibu front brake caliper and get a banjo to a 4 pipe fitting. There is a guy at a race shop around here that told me about that one. I know it works because that's what I'm using. Hell, in the parts list to the Apexi kit which uses an IHI turbo it calls out the fitting as a 10x1.25 which is wrong. Shame on Apexi.

is there any way you can go to a AN-4 fitting??
and my turbo (the IHI) didnt have a banjo bolt on it, it had hard lines. it looks like pipe fitting but not close enough and has a rounded tip like the AN fittings.

You can get a decent look of the fitting thing in this picture. It's not a banjo fitting. I picked up a brake banjo bolt from a 1980's GM car at a local auto parts store, and it screws into the oil feed hole perfectly, but I don't really want to run a banjo fitting for the oil unless I have to.

hell yeah i have the same thing, execpt i have a 2-3inch peice of tube still coming out of mine. so i think im just going to run a rubber line to it. or option number two is to get a regular pipe thread to AN4 fitting and put a little tefon tape on it and screw it on as tight as possiable to that fitting then have someone weld or JB weld the fitting so its nice and sealled...

So, is there a way to do this without running a banjo fitting?

Dude, I don't know why you are afraid of the banjo fitting. Mine works awsome! The guy at the race shop said that Ishi turbos come with banjo bolts in them from the factory. He was suprised at the crappy aluminum fitting Apexi supplied. It was a no brainer for him and I think he might of been yoda.

Get a banjo to an-4 and be done with it.

Well ok, where would I go about getting one of these banjo fitting to AN-4 things?

listen to me and **** the banjo fittings...look at the pic and remove the hard lines...
you'll see the thread it 1/8 NPT,

SO go to home depot and buy a 1/8 NPT to 1/4 flare ( basically a -4AN)
and youve get a a perfect flare for a ss -4AN ss line..

TRUST me.!!
