Cooling Fan won't turn on
So the car has been overheating and I know that it is partly due to a bad head gasket but also found my fan wasn't turning on. I connected it straight to the battery and it worked fine. soes this mean I have a bad relay? Can I swap it with one of the others just to check?
Thanks
Thanks
Essentially it's just like flipping a normal switch, only its flipping action is controlled from a remote source.
in other words its active/on when you need it and passive/off when you don't

The fan switch on your thermostat housing is more than likely the culprit, unplug the connector and jump it with a piece of wire and it will make the fan run while the car is on. Its not a permanent fix but it will help until you figure out what is wrong, or you could just leave it.....it won't hurt anything
