Question for you all. The radio in the civic si comes xm radio ready. The only thing I need to do is activate it? Or do I need to buy some equipment?

You need to pay for service and installation. They will put a little color-matched box on the roof near the rear windshield.

As well as the xm unit in the trunk and interior harness.

I went to my honda dealer and had them special order all the parts for the Nav XM antenna and harnesses. I had to remove most of the interior to be able to remove the headliner so I could mount the root antenna. I sucked, plus you have to be brave enuf to cut a hole in the roof of your car. Now that I know how hard it was to install the roof antenna, I understand why they made the window mounted antenna.

I think the roof-mount looks quite snazzy.

They can install it either way, it all just depends on who does it. My dad's xm antena is on the roof near the rear window.

You'll have to buy an Xm fit kit and reciever from Honda. If u do it ur self u have to take the a-pillar off along w/ the ins. cluster, radio, glove box, center console, and back seat and what ever u have in the trunk. To run the wiring the right way according to Honda's instructions, it took me about 5hrs to do being really careful not to scratch anything. The antenna will mount on the inside right corner of the windshield. And in the long run saved myself about 6 bills in labor time, and once u do that call Xm pick ur plan and give them the code on the screen and ur set.
