So i put in new pisstons in my car and i put it all together and now im in limp mod so i got a new 02 sensour cuz someone said that could be it so i did still in limp mode someone help... I got a d16 a6 with a z6 vtec head ran awesome befor i put new pistons in someone help someone said ecu might be bad and i have an adjustable cam gear and i fixed some throtel response should i keep gonig and keep tweaking could that help cuz when i hit 4000rpm it back fires and ackt like i have 2 step.. some one help plzzz

 

 

Check your injector plugs, if one is not on all the way it will make ur car go into limp mode.

Backfiring is usually the wires in the wrong spot on the distributor.

I hope you're not going by the Haynes manual, because it's wrong.

 

ok so we checked me codes and i have 4 6 7 10 and 21

 

Code 4 = Crank Angle sensor
Code 6 = Coolant temperature sensor
Code 7 = throttle angle (tps)
Code 10= Intake air temperature
Code 21= Vtec spool solenoid


That's some list. Make sure that all of the sensors are plugged in and are wired correctly. What else was done besides the new pistons? Obviously some wiring was done, unless you left all of those connectors unplugged.

 

we tryed a diffrent dizzy and it didnt help at all new tps and didnt help new map sensour and nothing im confused on this

 

your best bet is to fix all the check engine codes your throwing. i believe must guys eliminate the crank angle sensor from their computer tune.

i guess it is done with the same program that the custom chips are tuned with.
